LG is, as most of you know, one of the largest tech companies in the world. This company is best known for manufacturing smartphones and various other appliances we use around the house on a daily basis, but LG’s ‘Tone’ headphones are also quite popular. LG has introduced various Bluetooth headphones over the last couple of years, and the company has decided to announce yet another pair ahead of MWC, the Tone Platinum headphones. These are LG’s high-end Bluetooth headphones, and have been announced by the company along with the ‘X’ series of smartphones which we’ve talked about recently.
The LG Tone Platinum headphones will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona alongside LG X cam, X screen, and of course, LG’s flagship, the LG G5. The LG Tone Platinum headphones look really sleek, and sport an ergonomic design. The earphone housing has been made out of aluminum, and LG has partnered up with Harmon Kardon when it comes to these headphones. The company has opted for the Balanced Armature design as the module fo these headphones, in order to minimize distortion. The LG Tone Platinum headphones come with the aptX HD Audio Codec in order to approve sound quality over Bluetooth, and minimize latency. The noise canceling dual microphones are also included her, which should help you out if you’re located in noisy environments. Now, LG has also included Voice Commands as part of the package, with the help of which you can control incoming calls. The Tone & Talk app has also been improved in order to support Voice Memo and Find Me via Android-powered devices (Android 4.1+).
“The LG TONE Platinum is a showcase of innovative technologies that aims to deliver premium sound quality in a form-factor that millions of customers have come to embrace. LG’s TONE offerings are second to none in the wireless Bluetooth world which is a key growth area for our mobile business,” said Michael Park, Vice President in charge of Innovative Personal Devices Business Division at LG Electronics. These headphones will be available in the US in March, and other markets in Asia, Europe and Latin America will follow soon after. As already mentioned, these headphones will be showcased at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
