Meizu MX6 Receives Radio Certification In China

Meizu is one of the fastest-growing smartphone manufacturers at the moment. This China-based company has managed to sell 4.4 million devices back in 2014, and that was considered a success for the company. Well, this manufacturer has actually shipped out 20 million smartphones last year, so you can imagine how much they grew in just one year. Meizu hasn’t introduced all that many devices in 2015, but the ones they did introduce are quite compelling, and yet affordable. The Meizu MX5 and PRO 5 are Meizu’s highest-end offerings from last year, and we’ve already seen some MX6 and PRO 6 leaks thus far. Well, some new Meizu MX6 info surfaced recently, read on.

According to a report from China, it seems like the MX6 passed some sort of a radio certification process in China. Now, this isn’t the 3C Certification or TENAA certification listing, so don’t expect this phone to arrive in the coming weeks, but this might be enough to confirm that the device is on the way considering this seems to be the official radio certification listing. The Meizu MX6 aka Meizu M681Q, as the listing says, supports FDD-LTE / TD-LTE / CDMA / TDS and GSM networks. Now, this listing really didn’t reveal all that much in terms of the phone’s specs or the design, but thanks to previous rumors, we can at least speculate. Now, a while back, a rumor surfaced saying that the MX6 might sport MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor, which seems logical considering the fact that MX5 featured the Helio X10 SoC. AnTuTu has, through its Weibo (Chinese social network), shared some additional details as well. They said that the MX6 will ship with 3GB of RAM, and that the phone will feature a 1080p display. Android 6.0 Marshmallow has also been mentioned by AnTuTu, and on top of it, you’ll get the company’s Flyme UI.

The Meizu MX6 will quite probably be made out of metal, just like its predecessor, and you can also expect it to feature a physical home button below the display, which serves as a capacitive back key, physical home button, and a fingerprint scanner all in one. It is also worth mentioning that some rumors reported that the phone will be announced in March or April, but take that info with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for additional Meizu MX6 info, we’ll make sure to let you know if anything new pops up.
