Motorola Mobility today, has announced a new line of Wearable Accessories under a new brand known as VerveLife. The company will be showing off these new wearable accessories at Mobile World Congress next week in Barcelona. There’s limited information available right now, but there are plenty of products announced today as part of VerveLife. All of the products work with both iOS and Android.
Starting off with the VerveLoop, these are a pair of Bluetooth headphones which are water-resistant as well as sweat resistant. Additionally they feature an integrated microphone that is great for making and receiving calls. These are super-light headphones, and great for taking to the gym along with you. The VerveRider is a set of neckbud headphones (think LG Tone Pro or Samsung Level U) that are comfortable and feature 12 hours of battery life. There is another version known as the VerveRider+ which are built to be sweat and water resistant as well as having a built-in microphone. The VerveOnes are wireless earbuds, these are actually completely wireless. Motorola touts that these have 12 hours of battery life. The VerveOnes+ are also water and sweat resistant, rated at IP57.
Moving outside of headphones and earbuds, we have the VerveCam. This is a portable social video camera. Think of something like the GoPro, but perhaps not as rugged. The VerveCam can capture 2.5K video at 30 frames-per-second and a 138-degree field of view. Once more, the VerveCam can live stream directly to YouTube with its integrated WiFi. Finally, we have the VerveRetrieve which is a GPS pet tracker, in case your pet gets lose and you need to find them. This one is also waterproof rated at IP67, so whether they get into a pool or not, it’ll still work just fine.
These products all work using their own Hubble application which is available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App store for Android and iOS respectively. So far, there’s no word on pricing just yet, and there’s no information on when these will be available. With VerveLife announcing these at Mobile World Congress next week, it wouldn’t be surprising to learn of pricing and availability in Barcelona at the show.
