The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge leaks have become really frequent lately. This Korean tech giant will release the two devices in two days at the company’s press event as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. All we know thus far is based on rumors and leaks, like the one that surfaced earlier today. That being said, a new leak has just popped up, and it shows us the S7 Edge variant of Samsung’s flagship once again, read on.
We’ve seen quite a few Galaxy S7 Edge real life images thus far, but this time around the screen is on. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see the Galaxy S7 Edge placed on a table, and TouchWiz is running on the display. One of Samsung’s stock wallpapers is placed as a background of the lock screen, and the bezels are almost non-existent on the sides. The overall screen-to-body ratio of the phone will be quite high it seems, the bezels are quite thin in general. This design actually goes hand-in-hand with pretty much every leak we’ve seen in the last couple of weeks, the device sports a physical home button below the display, and is made out of metal and glass, just like its predecessors. The back of the phone will be curved, like it is on the Galaxy Note 5, which should make this phone more ergonomic and easier to hold.
According to previous benchmark listings, rumors and leaks, the Galaxy S7 Edge will quite probably sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display. The phone will also pack 4GB of RAM, and will be available in a number of different internal storage models, quite probably 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants. Samsung’s Exynos 8890 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoCs will power the Galaxy S7 Edge, both variants will be available, but will be market dependent. The 12.2-megaipxel BRITECELL shooter will be placed on the phone’s back, according to the most recent info, and a 5-megapixel camera will be available up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the phone, and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI will be placed on top of it. That’s pretty much it, the press event will take place on February 21st, so stay tuned.
