Oppo is a rather well-known China-based company, and you’ve probably heard of them by now. The Oppo N series devices are quite probably Oppo’s best-known devices, mainly because the two latest models sported rotary cameras up top, and the latest one even has an auto-rotation camera built-in. That being said, Oppo has announced the Oppo F1 and F1 Plus smartphones last month, and the company has opted to release yet another phone recently, the Oppo A30, read on.
The Oppo A30 wasn’t exactly officially announced by the company, but was soft-launched in a way. The phone is currently listed on the company’s website in China, which you can access by clicking the source link down below. Now, this device is basically identical to OnePlus X Champagne Edition, not only in terms of the design, but specifications as well. That means that the Oppo A30 is made out of a metal frame which is placed in-between two pieces of glass. The device features a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz fuels this smartphone, along with an Adreno 330 GPU. The 13-megapixel snapper (f/2.2 aperture) is placed on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel shooter is available up front. The 2,525mAh battery is non-removable, and Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the device with Oppo’s ColorOS 2.1 UI on it. The Oppo A30 measures 140 x 69 x 6.9mm, while it weighs 138 grams.
What about its price? Well, we’re still not sure how much will it cost considering Oppo didn’t share that info on their site. The phone is only listed at the moment, but Oppo is expected to reveal both its pricing and availability details soon. You can expect this device to be more expensive than the OnePlus X though, some sites are guessing it will cost about the same, but we do expect it to be a bit more expensive than OnePlus’ offering. That’s pretty much it, stay tuned, we’ll make sure to let you know once Oppo releases more info, as usual.
