Philips is a well-known brand around the world. This Dutch company has been manufacturing various tech devices for a long time now, and even though their smartphones aren’t as popular as some other brands are, there are quite a few Philips-branded smartphones out there. We haven’t heard much from Philips lately, though one of their devices did pop up on TENAA last month, the Philips S711L. That being said, yet another handset has been certified by TENAA it seems, read on.
The Philips V800 has surfaced on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), and thanks to that listing, we basically know both its specifications and design. Now, interestingly enough, this is a flip phone, and you can see in the images down below. Its specifications aren’t exactly high-end, but they’re not that bad either. The phone sports two displays, a 3.7-inch HD (1280 x 720) panels are present here, and the device will ship with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The quad-core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz will fuel this smartphone, though we still don’t know which chip that is. The 13-megapixel snapper will be available on the back of Philips V800, and a 5-megapixel shooter will be placed up front. This smartphone will offer 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 5.1 Lollipop will also be a part of this package. We still don’t know what battery will be included in this phone, considering TENAA’s listing did not reveal that particular piece of information. We do know, however, that the phone will measure 116.8 x 60 x 19.1mm, while it will weight 206 grams.
The listing says that Philips V800 will be available in Black (with Gold) color option, though other color variants are a possibility, of course. As far as the design is concerned, this handset sure is interesting. Not only is this a flip phone, but it also sports interesting design when it’s closed. The white on yellow Philips branding up top is quite noticeable and contributes to the overall design, and three capacitive buttons are available below the display when this phone is closed, back, home and overview, respectively. This handset is black colored, but it has some significant gold accents on it, take a look at the gallery down below if you’d like to see it for yourself.
