Take A Look At Xiaomi Mi 5's Official Promo Videos

Xiaomi Mi 5 has been announced yesterday, and is one of the highest-end phones we’ve seen introduced during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC). Both LG and Samsung introduced their flagships, and Sony’s Xperia X Performance is also worth mentioning, definitely. That being said, Xiaomi is the last of these companies to introduce their handset, and considering its price and specs, it might appeal to quite a few people. That being said, we’ve already covered this launch at length, but are here to take a look at some additional content Xiaomi has provided, read on.

During the company’s press conference, we’ve seen quite a few videos being shown off on the big screen, even though those were mostly teasers. Well, Xiaomi did show off some other video content as well, like the official promo for the Xiaomi Mi 5. If you take a look at the first embedded video down below, you’ll get to see the Mi 5’s introduction video which focuses almost entirely on the design of this phone. The video carries the tagline ‘An elegance beyond imagination’, which also hints at the design aspect of the device, which Hugo Barra talked quite a bit about yesterday. Now, the second video down below, actually showcases Xiaomi Mi 5’s 4-axis OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). This handset sports a 16-megapixel camera on the back, and we’re looking at Sony’s IMX298 sensor here, but the interesting thing is, Xiaomi did not build in regular OIS here. They’ve actually included a 4-axis OIS, which is supposed to provide clearer images considering it handles camera shakiness better than the regular OIS, which is clearly shown off in the aforementioned video.

Now, as for the device’s specs, Xiaomi’s new flagship sports a 5.15-inch fullHD display, 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of expandable internal storage. The highest-end model sports 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and is called Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro. All of these phones are fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, along with an Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. The 16-megapixel 4-axis OIS camera is placed on the back of the Mi 5, and a 4-megapixel shooter (2um pixel size) can be found up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here, and you’ll find Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 OS on top of it.
