Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge two days ago and they will become available on March 11th in many regions. Both phones feature very powerful specs and they improved some aspects compared to their respective predecessors. The company changed the design of the new phones just a little bit, but overall, they look very similar to the phones that were introduced last year. The construction of the Galaxy S7 phones is still based on glass on their front and back while a metallic frame holds these parts together. The glass on the back is now subtlety curved to improve on ergonomics, but such construction might seem quite fragile, so it could be a good idea to protect them.
Case maker Tech21 presented their case collection for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, so those interested in purchasing either phone can protect them as soon as they get delivered. The cases are built with FlexShock, a material that absorbs and dissipates forces, so the phones can be protected against accidental bumps from heights up to 6.6 feet. There are several designs and colors of Tech21 cases, so users can choose one that suits their style. These cases are up to 30% thinner and 60% lighter than other cases that offer similar protection.
Tech21 partnered with Samsung to make sure that their cases meet the performance standards of the company as well as ensuring a secure fit and feel on their phones. Evo Check wraps around the corners and back of the phone and features a check pattern to make it more stylish. Evo Tactical features a solid matte finish for a more secure grip. Evo Wallet includes a flip-over screen cover, credit card slot and microfiber lining and it is available in pink and black. Evo Frame features a hard outer shell while keeping a slim and premium design. Evo Elite has a smooth, durable and scratch-resistant finish, it is available in gold and brushed black. Impact Clear measures 0.08 inches on the sides and 0.06 inches on the back, but this case with a matte finish can protect the phone from accidental drops up to 5 feet. All of these cases, except the Evo Frame, are available for the Galaxy S7 and the Evo Wallet and Evo Frame are available for the Galaxy S7 Edge. The company also announced the Impact Shield Anti-Glare screen protector for the Galaxy S7, which features BulletShield, a polymer used on bulletproof glass. All of these products are available for pre-order through the company’s site and select retailers.
