Verizon Brings Back 2GB/Month for Life for those on XL, XXL Plans

Verizon has brought back their promo of giving their users 2GB of data each month for life (as long as you stick around with Verizon). An extra 2GB of data each month for free can definitely go a long way whether you’re using Snapchat all the time, or Twitter, Facebook, Google Maps or any other app. Verizon gives some examples of what you can do with an extra 2GB of data each month, which includes uploading or downloading 600 photos, using Facebook for another 102 hours, stream 10 HD 30-minute TV shows, Surf the web for 89 hours, just to name a few things.

This promotion is good for both existing customers as well as those looking to switch over to Verizon from another network. The catch, here, is that you will need to be on their XL or XXL plan. Which means you’ll need to pay for 12GB of 18GB to get this promotion. While most people are likely on the smaller plans like the S for 1GB or M for 3GB. Verizon is also running this plan for families. So those that are on a XL plan for a family plan (which 12GB for four lines is fairly common), you can add an extra 8GB of data to the data pool each month. That’s an extra 96GB of data per year. Not too shabby. Seeing as it is completely free, that’s not bad at all. As long as you stick with Verizon, you will have this extra data coming your way every month for life.

Now you will need to upgrade or activate a new phone with a device payment as well. This means you can’t just simply switch over to the XL or XXL Verizon plan and get the extra data. You will need to get a new phone, and it’ll need to be from Verizon, unfortunately. This means you can’t buy a Nexus 6P and activate it on Verizon. If you’re looking to upgrade in the near future, however, this would be a pretty good way to grab some extra data. Verizon is also still offering up to $650 to cover your switching fees, to switch over to their network. Which can be added on top of this 2GB per month promotion.
