Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Now Available On NVIDIA SHIELD

Owners of the NVIDIA SHIELD have been getting a number of exclusive games coming through since the device was released. This in addition to the already extensive games that are available to Android devices and along with the SHIELD’s GeForce NOW subscription service. A combination which is hard to argue against the SHIELD being an unparalleled Android TV gaming option. In fact, hot on the heels of last week’s latest arrival, the selection of games just got a little bigger as NVIDIA has today confirmed the arrival of another new SHIELD exclusive title and it’s a big one.

This is a game which is unlikely to need much of an introduction as it is a title which SHIELD owners have been waiting for, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. As such, for those who were looking to take part in the next chapter of the widely popular Borderlands series of games on Android TV, now you can. SHIELD aside, many gamers will already be familiar with the gameplay on offer here, as this is a game which became originally available on PC and a number of consoles back in 2014. But for those new to this one but familiar with the series in general, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is set in between the first two Borderlands titles. Not to mention, it is one which sees the action taking on much more of a space theme.

In terms of the actual game, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel lets you choose between four characters including playing as Claptrap. The game also does offer the ability to make use of all of the characters thanks to the inclusion of a four-player co-op mode, as well as offering support for online multiplayer modes too. The game itself adopts the use of Borderlands’ unique style, animations and presentation, so if you are fan of the Borderline series of games but have not played this one yet, you won’t be disappointed. Not to mention the inclusion of low-gravity and an array of new weapons adds to creating a solid level of gameplay. The porting over to Android does not seem to have lost anything either as the game so far is one which plays extremely well and fluid with no real issues noted. If you like Borderlands, then this is definitely one worth downloading. Although this is a SHIELD exclusive, it is available to download from the Google Play Store and the game is currently priced at $14.99 to download. While it might seem a little expensive compared to other titles, it is worth the money and is cheaper than you would pay for the console or PC versions.
