When Samsung announced the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge back at Mobile World Congress last month, they didn’t surprise many of us. After all, we knew that Samsung were going to introduce a new and refined version of last year’s devices, but what did surprise a lot of people was the fact that Samsung would be launching the device in stores all around the world just a few weeks after the announcement. Now, that time is here, and the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is available starting today, March 11th, all over the world. In North America, these new devices have been available to pre-order for a good few weeks now, but they’re finally available in store as well as online starting today.
For those on T-Mobile, that haven’t already pre-ordered their preferred device of course, can head on over to their local store to take a look at one of the devices, or just order one online right now. T-Mobile does things a little differently, and subscribers will need to purchase their device separate to their service, but they can of course pay in monthly instalments. The Galaxy S7 in its 32GB version costs $669.99 on T-Mobile, and customers can pay $27.92 a month for 24 months. The larger, 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge meanwhile, goes for $779.99 at $30 a month, but this requires a down payment of $60. Color wise, the Galaxy S7 is available in Black Onyx or Platinum Gold, and the Galaxy S7 Edge in the same two options, with Silver Titanium joining the two.
All of the US carriers have been offering some sort of promotion, and the majority of these have been backed by Samsung themselves. During the pre-order period, a free Gear VR headset was promised to customers, but T-Mobile is still running this promotion through to next, ending on March 18th. Much like Verizon, T-Mobile is doing something a little different as well, and will be offering some users a Buy One Get One Free promotion, which we covered in more detail here. Now available on all four major carriers in the US, the time has come for people to choose where they want to be in order to get the latest and greatest from Samsung.
