Right now, the HTC 10 is easily one of the most talked about smartphones around. In spite of the handset not being officially introduced yet, the HTC 10 has been the subject of a number of leaks and rumors in recent days. Of course, much of the teasing has come from HTC as they have been routinely sending out a number of teaser images as part of their #powerof10 advertising campaign for the HTC 10. The latest of which came through earlier today.
Following in the footsteps of a number of teasers including for the camera abilities and the speakers, this latest teaser looks to make a note of the performance of the HTC 10. The image shows the bottom aspect of the phone and does highlight and confirm the inclusion of capacitive buttons, but also comes with the tagline “Not all phones are created equal. The fastest and smoothest Android.” Presumably, a nod to how good the performance and general user experience will be on the latest device from HTC. In fact, the tagline finishes up with the “You’ll feel it” sentiment. An aspect which will likely be proven true or otherwise in the coming weeks, as it is largely expected the HTC 10 will be unveiled on April 12th and with the expectation that the availability of the handset will not be too far behind.
In terms of the specs, interestingly, the HTC 10 was spotted earlier today as having been benchmarked on GFXBench and as a result, there is some semi-confirmation on the specs that are expected to be included. For instance, the benchmark confirms the inclusion of a 5.1-inch display which makes use of a 2560 x 1440 resolution. While inside, the benchmark confirms that the HTC 10 will come equipped with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Cameras listed on the benchmark include a 12-megapixel rear camera which looks to be coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing option. While finally the benchmark details that the HTC 10 comes running on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) out of the box. Of course, with that April 12th date approaching, we will not have too wait to long until the HTC 10 is revealed and firm details on both its specs and its performance come through.
