When it comes to smartwatches, particularly Android Wear, there are tons of watch faces available. That is one of the advantages that Android Wear has over a traditional watch from Fossil, Tag Heuer, or any other luxury watch maker. Developers have taken to making all sorts of watch faces available that will show you the time, battery percentage and so much more. And that’s what we have with the Graphite Watch Face here. Now this watch face is built from WatchMaker Premium, which means you’ll need to install that app for this to work. WatchMaker Premium is $3.99, however Graphite Watch Face is free, and there are no in-app purchases.
This watch face appears to only be compatible with round smartwatches, as the developer lists the Moto 360 (1st and 2nd gen), Huawei Watch, LG Watch Urbane, LG G Watch R, TAG Heuer Connected and the Fossil Q Founder. The watch face is pretty much non-editable, but there is some information that you can put on the watch face. This includes things like the Time, Date of the Day, Day of the week, Dim mode, watch battery level and phone battery level. Now you can also control the time format, Chronograph, Hand Park in Chrono Mode and best of all the watch face is battery friendly. Especially important considering these smartwatches do have pretty small batteries inside.
Now to set up this watch face on your smartwatch, all you need to do is install WatchMaker Premium, as well as Graphite Watch Face. Then you’ll be able to set it from within the Android Wear companion app, which should already be installed on your smartphone. In the watch faces section, you’ll see the Graphite Watch Face, along with a few other watch faces that you may have installed. Just select the Graphite Watch Face and you’re all set. You’ll also see a “gear” icon for settings appear on the watch face in the Android Wear app, from there you are able to set your settings for the watch face.
Right now, Graphite Watch Face is available on the Google Play Store and it is completely free, definitely worth checking out.
