Samsung is known for releasing tablets for almost every price segment through any year, and a few tablets of the company have been leaked in recent images, so they are expected to be launched quite soon. A new 7-inch tablet with model number SM-T280 was believed to belong to the Galaxy Tab E series because of its lower specs, but then its name started to get confusing, as that model number was also associated with a tablet called Galaxy Tab A 7.0. Apparently, Samsung will release a tablet named Galaxy Tab A 7.0 and another one called Galaxy Tab E 7.0 as renders of both devices have been leaked as of a few days ago.
Neither of the tablets has been officially announced, but the tablet known as Galaxy Tab A 7.0 can be pre-ordered from an online retailer in Poland. In fact, two colors are available, the specific model of this tablet in black color is SM-T280NZKAXEO, while the model number of the white model is SM-T280NZWAXEO. The logo of the name Galaxy Tab A doesn’t hint towards the size of the tablet, so it is possible that this series won’t include other tablets with different screen sizes. Also, the logo features a small number 6, indicating that the tablet is being released in 2016. Some of the listed specs for this tablet include a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory expandable with microSD cards, a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and typical connectivity options such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. There’s also a GPS receiver, a 5-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel camera on the front.
The tablet includes a 4,000 mAh battery and it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Its dimensions are 18.69 cm x 10.88 cm x 0.87 cm and it weighs 0.283 kg. The price of the Galaxy Tab A 7.0 is listed at PLN 599 in either color option, which converts into $150 approximately. The tablets will start shipping on March 8, which is exactly a week from today, so Samsung should make an official announcement of this tablet quite soon. Availability in different regions will be probably communicated then.
