The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are Samsung’s latest flagship offerings. This Korean tech giant has introduced these two phones last month during the Mobile World Congress (MWC), and they are already available in various regions all over the world. We have plenty of coverage on both fo these phones on the site already, but new info just keeps on popping up. We’ve already covered various Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge torture test, but a rather new, and interesting one popped up, read on.
Truth be told, this is not exactly a torture test, it’s more of a straightforward destruction of a device. The star of this video is the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and a 400 ton hydraulic press. Most of you probably already know what’s about to happen, but it’s interesting nonetheless. The title of this YouTube video is ‘400 Ton Hydraulic Press VS Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge’, not like it’s a battle, but, here we go. If you take a look at the video down below, you’ll get to see Samsung’s pricey flagship crushed by this 400 ton hydraulic press, and the result is… well, entertaining. Once the phone gets crushed there’s smoke, sparks and even ‘blood’. The result of this ‘test’ is, well, quite obvious, but as I already mentioned, it’s interesting to watch at the very least, so check out the embedded video down below if you’re interested.
The Galaxy S7 Edge is one of the more expensive devices out there, but it is, at the same time, one of the best looking and best-specced ones as well. This handset sports a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone is fueled by either the Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 SoC, depending on which variant you opt to purchase (market dependent). The 12-megapixel ‘Dual Pixel’ camera is available on the back of the S7 Edge, and a 3,600mAh battery is available here as well. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the S7 Edge, and on top of it you’ll find Samsung’s custom UI, of course. The device is made out of metal and glass, which, in addition to its curved display sides, results in a really sleek-looking product.
