Delivery Of Free Gear S2 With Verizon Galaxy S7/Edge Delayed

As well as the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge being the two latest flagship smartphones from Samsung, they happen to be two of the most talked about handsets of right now. In fact, they are also two of the most sought after smartphones currently on the market and since their release, debate has risen as to whether they are selling better than previous models or even selling enough. Although everyone seems to be in a general agreement that they are definitely selling.

Of course, the selling of the Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge is not by accident and besides being powerhouse smartphones, they are the product of a strategically planned sales event by Samsung. Part of that selling strategy and coinciding with their general release, Samsung introduced a promotion where those who bought either device early enough would also benefit from receiving a free Samsung Gear VR headset. One which equates to a value of $99.99 and this also came with a six game bundle, which was worth another $49.99 value on top. Some companies took the deals even further with the likes of Best Buy throwing in a free microSD card on top of the VR bundle to further ensure they were your retailer of choice. While on the carrier side of things, Verizon did seem to be the most interesting as they decided to offer consumers the choice between the free Gear VR bundle or a free Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch.

If you did buy either Galaxy S7 device through Verizon and did opt for the latter, the smartwatch, then it seems you might be waiting on your free Gear S2 a little longer. It is being reported that promotion confirmation emails are being sent out today to Gear S2 choosers advising that the “due to the high level of interest in the Verizon Offer promotion”, shipments of Gear S2 smartwatches are seeing delays. The most positive outlook on deliver from the email states that customers could see their Gear S2 arrive in May while at the more extreme side, they could be waiting until “Summer 2016” Either way, the notice does state that buyers will receive the usual tracking details as and when their shipments are en route.
