In light of good subscriber growth for competitors in recent quarters, AT&T has been doubling down on subscriber acquisition efforts for both their mobile division and DirecTV, including an offer that effectively functions as the only way to get unlimited mobile data on AT&T. Their latest offer is targeted dually at rewarding loyal DirecTV and U-Verse customers, as well as garnering new signups for those services and their mobile division. In a nutshell, customers with DirecTV or U-Verse, on select packages, can buy a new Galaxy S7 on a new service line and expect a new Samsung Smart TV to be headed to their door within about 45 days. As with any other such offer, of course, there are some caveats.
For starters, as mentioned above, the Galaxy S7 must be on a new line of service. Those looking to score the S7’s bigger and edgier cousin seem to be in luck, as it’s mentioned in the official promotion page, albeit further down in the fine print. While the offer is stackable with others, such as AT&T’s early termination fee coverage offer, a strict limit of one TV per account is enforced. While you don’t need to be an existing customer of either service beforehand to score the TV, you do need to have or install applicable U-Verse or DirecTV service within the promotional period, which runs from April 1 to the end of the month. After that, keep both accounts in good standing for 45 days and the TV will be shipped. You won’t have to pay the shipping fees for the TV.
The set on offer is a 48 inch LED Smart TV from Samsung, model series J5200. This particular Smart TV runs the Samsung Smart Hub OS, rather than Tizen. It also sports a 1920×1080 resolution and a buttery-smooth 60hz refresh rate. The set is upper mid-range, topped almost exclusively by the top of the line and state of the art 2K and 4K TVs from the likes of Samsung, LG and Sony. Check out the source link for full details on the promotion straight from AT&T, including any applicable fine print.
