Samsung is the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. This Korea-based company has introduced their newest flagship offerings back in February during MWC, but that’s not all they announced this year. The Galaxy J3 was launched in India straight away, while its siblings hit China first. The Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) support pages have been spotted on Samsung India’s official site, which suggests the company will roll out these two devices in the country soon. The Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with the model number SM-J510FZDUINS, while the Galaxy J7 (2016) carries the SM-J710FZDUINS model number. In addition to this, both of these phones were imported to India by Zauba a while back for testing. Anyhow, the Galaxy J5 (2016) features a 5.2-inch 720p (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. This handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core SoC, and comes with a 3,100mAh removable battery. The 13-megapixel snapper is available on its back, and a 5-megapixel shooter can be found up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Galaxy J5 (2016).
The Galaxy J7 (2016), on the other hand, sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED panel, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The phone is fueled by an octa-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz (probably a Snapdragon 6XX chip), and carries a removable 3,300mAh battery. The 13-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel unit can be found up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Galaxy J7 (2016), and on top of it, you’ll find Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. That is more or less it, these two phones will be announced in India soon, so stay tuned.
