Huawei today officially unveiled two new phones for their lineup in 2016, the Huawei P9 as well as the Huawei P9 Plus. By all accounts the Huawei P9 Plus is not too far off the beaten path in comparison to the original Huawei P9, but it does sport at least one difference meant to cater to an alternate part of the market, and that’s the group of people who prefer t have a device with a little bit larger of a display. The Huawei P9 Plus comes equipped with a 5.5-inch with Full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080, and this is compared to the 5.2-inch display on the Huawei P9 which also comes with the same resolution.
While the displays are a big part of the P9 Plus since this is how you interact with everything, Huawei is focusing pretty heavily on the cameras with the P9 Plus as it sports two rear-facing cameras that use Leica’s imaging technology and two Sony IMX286 sensors. The quality is 12MP for each camera sensor on the back with one dedicated to monochrome and the other dedicated to RGB. The Huawei P9 Plus also comes with a 3400mAh battery inside to keep it going during the day, and it’s running on Android Marshmallow for the version of the software. For storage and memory it carries 64GB of space and 4GB of RAM, and much like the P9 it comes in multiple colors to tailor to the personal tastes of each consumer so as to offer a little more choice than normal. The phone is due out in Europe the 16th of this month so there won’t be too long of a wait for the consumers in the region.
