As you’ve probably noticed already, HTC has unveiled their new flagship earlier today. After months of rumors and leaks, this Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer has showcased their newest offering, and it’s more or less exactly what we’ve expected it to be. This is an all-metal flagship which puts focus on camera quality, sound input / output and performance, as company’s recent teasers suggested. We’ve already talked about the device in our main announcement, and are here to talk more about its accessories, read on.
The company has, along with the device itself, announced the so-called ‘Ice View cover’ accessory, a rather interesting case. This is a semi-transparent case, and you can interact with the device without even lifting its case. Unlike previous such covers we’ve seen, the Ice View cover lets you take photos, read text, switch between songs, adjust volume, and it also supports third-party notifications. The HTC Ice View is priced at $49.99 in the US, and is the most expensive HTC 10 accessory currently available. Aside from the ‘Ice View case’, there are 7 more accessories listed on HTC US site for the HTC 10, including: HTC High-Res Audio Earphones, JBL Reflect Aware C Earphones, HTC Active Earphones, HTC Rapid Charger 30, USB Type-C Cable, HTC Universal Car Kit and the HTC Dual Port Car Charger. Now, do keep in mind that the vast majority of these accessories aren’t exactly new (and can be used with other phones), but are currently listed on the HTC US site as the HTC 10 accessories, and if you’d like to know more about them, follow the source link down below.
The HTC 10 sports a 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of expandable internal storage. The device is made out of metal, and it features three capacitive buttons below the display. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC fuels this smartphone, and a 3,000mAh battery is also a part of the pack, and the device supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The 12-megapixel OIS shooter (1.55um pixel size) is placed on the back of this phone, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here with the company’s Sense 8.0 UI available on top of it.
