HTC Boost+ Is A Phone Cleaner For Preview Program Members

Although phone cleaner apps may not be at the top of the list of priorities for users when thinking about what to install, they can be a little bit useful after months and months of using a device, collecting junk files and storing up useless data. having said that they also have the potential to drain your battery faster if you’re always freeing up RAM. You can find plenty of different phone cleaner apps in the Play Store, and various manufacturers will even include them as pre-installed apps on devices. While HTC may or may not include a phone cleaner out of the box for future phones, they are currently beginning to test a phone cleaner app for the preview program members called Boost+.

Since this is only available to those are part of the preview program, simply being a user of an HTC device will not grant you access to testing out the app. Much like you might expect of a phone cleaner, Boost+ will allow you to scan your device for junk files and anything that is more or less not needed, and with a few taps you’ll be able to clear those files out of your phone to free up space. Boost+ also has the ability to boost the RAM, and it allows users to manage their applications as well as lock down certain apps if they feel the need to.

On the main homepage for Boost+ upon opening it, users will see the amount of RAM and storage they have already used up alongside the total amount that’s baked into the device, with easy to read percentages for the values. Although those in the preview program already have access to Boost+, there is no indication that HTC will ever launch the app outside of this program and if they do, there is no detail on when they’ll launch it into the Play Store. Beyond that it’s likely to be compatible with HTC phones only as their other apps in the Play Store are. When it comes down to it, Boost+ doesn’t appear to be any different from any other phone cleaner and RAM management application that you can already find on Google Play.
