HTC officially launched the HTC 10 earlier this morning, and just as many expected it comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM for memory. The phone will come to the U.S. for $699 unlocked with availability for use on T-Mobile and AT&T’s networks, and it will be available in a Sprint and Verizon compatible model as well. Prior to the event, rumors suggested HTC might be launching a variant of the 10 called the HTC 10 Lifestyle, and although there wasn’t much detail about the phone at the time, with the event come and gone the HTC 10 Lifestyle is official as well and it’s meant for various international markets.
Unlike the original HTC 10 though, the HTC 10 Lifestyle does not come with a Snapdragon 820 on the inside. Instead, HTC has chosen to build the device with a Snapdragon 652 chip powering the device, and instead of 4GB of RAM it comes with 3GB of RAM for memory. The Lifestyle model also does not come with a 64GB option for storage, but beyond those differences, most of the other specifications seem to be the same between it and the original. It uses the same Quad HD Super-LCD5 display at a 5.2-inch size, and on the back it uses the same 12MP ultrapixel camera with laser autofocus and optical image stabilization.
The HTC 10 Lifestyle comes with the same battery at 3000mAh which HTC states should give the Lifestyle a two-day battery life, and it can charge up rapidly thanks to the Quick Charge 3.0 standard. It also comes running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box which shouldn’t be much of a surprise. HTC is going to be launching the HTC 10 Lifestyle in India as well as Russia, although no exact launch dates have been mentioned yet nor have there been any details given on a price point for those regions so far. Chances are very likely though that with the less powerful processor and lower amount of RAM, the HTC 10 Lifestyle should end up costing less money than the original HTC 10 model, although there is no confirmation from HTC one this just yet. The HTC 10 Lifestyle also looks to come in the same three colors as the HTC 10, including black, silver, and gold.
