Huawei Watch Smartwatch Released In India For $347

Huawei has introduced a number of interesting devices last year, and one of the most intriguing ones was certainly the company’s Huawei Watch smartwatch. This watch was introduced back in March 2015, and it took Huawei quite some time to actually make it available to consumers. The Huawei Watch was released in September 2015, soon after the IFA trade show in Berlin. That being said, this smartwatch has been available in various markets all over the world for quite some time now, but it hasn’t been available in India, well, at least until now, read on.

This Chinese smartphone manufacturing company has introduced their smartwatch in India earlier today. Now, for all intents and purposes, this is the same watch that the company has been selling elsewhere. The Huawei Watch is made out of metal (cold-forged stainless steel), and it sports a really sleek design all around, many people consider it to be the best-designed smartwatch to date. The devices features a 1.4-inch 400 x 400 AMOLED display with a scratch-proof sapphire crystal lens on top of it. The watch is fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 305 GPU. This device also packs in 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, and a 300mAh battery powers the whole thing. The 6-axis motion sensor, barometer and the heart rate monitor are all built in here, while the watch comes with the IP67 rating for water resistance. The microphone and speaker are also available here, and the device runs Android Wear OS which is compatible with both Android (4.3+) and iOS.

This smartwatch comes in Black, Gold and Silver color options to India, and it ships with a leather band. The watch his priced at Rs. 22,999 ($347), and it will be available exclusively through Flipkart starting today. The company has also confirmed that the watch will be available through offline retail stores in the near future as well, as soon as Flipkart exclusivity ends.
