NVIDIA SHIELD Exclusive 'Super Meat Boy' Now On Android TV

There are games and then there are games. For those unfamiliar with the difference, the games are not defined by their age and can be new games or vintage ones. The only commonality between them is that they are considered to be a classic. Super Mario Bros. being an example of an older one and Angry Birds being an example of a newer one. Another classic is certainly Super Meat Boy and in the grand scale of things, this is a game which would likely fall into the newer category, as it was released originally back in 2010. Since then, it has progressed onto other platforms and rightfully earned its title as a classic.

That said, in spite of falling in the newer category of classic games, it is one which clearly draws its inspiration from older titles and very effectively makes use of a platform style game and a more twitch reflex style of playing. So while this is not a game that you need to think about too much, make no mistake, it is one which is not only difficult to begin with, but one which progressively gets more difficult the further you progress through the game. And now it is coming to Android. That is, it is coming to Android as another NVIDIA SHIELD exclusive. So if you own either the NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV or the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1, then you are in luck.

In terms of the price, Super Meat Boy will set you back $14.99 to download. So while it is not the cheapest of Android games, it is one which comes with more than 300 different levels and a number of big bosses to overcome. So you are getting your money’s worth so to speak. Not to mention, there are at least sixteen characters that you can unlock and play with as your progress through the game. To help motivate that push to unlock, a number of the characters come from some other familiar and noteworthy titles including Minecraft and Machinarium, among others. For those interested and as mentioned, the game is now available to download providing you do own one of the NVIDIA SHIELD devices. It does cost $14.99, but you won’t have to worry about any IAPs following the initial outlay. To find out more about Super Meat Boy or to grab your own copy, head through the link below.
