Sprint Officially Announces the HTC 10 Coming Soon!

Along with T-Mobile and Verizon, Sprint also announced that they are going to be carrying the HTC 10 very soon. As is typical with these announcements, Sprint did not mention when the device would be available, just that the device will be available on their network. The HTC 10 will be supporting Sprint’s LTE Plus network as expected, which is their next-generation network which uses carrier aggregation to provide more bandwidth and better indoor coverage. The carrier also took time to note in their press release that they have faster download speeds than T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T.

The HTC 10 is going to be available in Carbon Grey, Topaz Gold and Glacial Silver. However Sprint has not mentioned which colors will be coming their way just yet. It’s safe to say that the Carbon Gray and Glacial Silver will definitely make the trip. While Sprint has not made an announcement about pricing either, the device is selling for $699 on HTC.com, so expect similar pricing from Sprint.

HTC’s new smartphone seems to check all of the boxes when it comes to specs. We’re looking at a 5.2-inch QHD Super LCD 5 display here which should look phenomenal on this device. Additionally we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor inside, which is the latest and greatest from Qualcomm. And that is paired with the Adreno 530 GPU along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage. We also have a 12-megapixel shooter around back, which HTC is marketing as “UltraPixel” once again. And all of this is powered by a 3000mAh battery which does also support Quick Charge 3.0. So you should be able to go from 0% to 80% in about 35 minutes. Not a bad way to top off your new device.

The HTC 10 is coming to T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon stores. While AT&T has opted not to carry the device. Fortunately for T-Mobile and AT&T customers, you can buy the device from HTC directly. However that is not an option for Sprint and Verizon users. You’ll have to purchase through your carrier. There’s no date mentioned as to when they’ll start shipping, but pre-orders do start today on HTC.com.
