T-Mobile's Latest Promo Brings up to Half off Select Tablets

T-Mobile appears to have quite a few announcements today. Earlier today, we heard about the new additions to Music Freedom and Binge On. With 16 new services joining them, making it over 100 available. And now to celebrate those new services joining, T-Mobile has launched a promotion to sell a few more tablets. They are offering up to half off of Apple, LG and Samsung tablets when you purchase a phone from that brand. So if you buy a Galaxy S7, you can get up to half off of a Samsung tablet that T-Mobile sells. Now you will need to add this to your qualifying plan, so this won’t work for prepaid customers, unfortunately.

The tablets that are included in this promotion are iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, Galaxy Tab S2, and the LG G Pad F 8.0. The phones that are eligible, respectively are; new iPhones, Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5, and the LG V10. A bit interesting to see the LG G5 being left out of this promo. However, that is likely due to the phone only launching last week – and supplies are currently pretty limited. The up to $200 you’ll get back is in a form of a pre-paid card. So you will get the money back, but you will need to foot the bill upfront.

One more thing. T-Mobile is also kickstarting a new family plan right now. This will get you four lines of 10GB each, for just $35 per month per line. That is a total of $140 per month. For four lines with 10GB each (40GB total), that’s a pretty great deal. However, you have to remember that EIP for those phones are not included, and could drive that price as high as $200 or more. T-Mobile says that these promos are for a limited time only, and will be available beginning tomorrow.

Expect to see a lot more promotions like this in the next few months, as carriers struggle to sell new smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and bring over some new customers.
