Xiaomi has already introduced a couple of devices this year, including the affordable Redmi 3 Pro handset, their Mi 5 flagship smartphone, and the Mituwatch kids smartwatch. That being said, the company will introduce some new hardware and software soon, Xiaomi has already announced that the Xiaomi Max phablet and MIUI 8 OS are coming on May 10th, and the Mi Band 2 fitness tracker might be introduced on that very same date.
Now, we’ve seen tons of rumors and leaks when it comes to the Xiaomi Max phablet, and even the company’s CEO shared a real life image of the device. Well, a new leak has surfaced online, and this time around we get to see the Xiaomi Max’s alleged case. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see that there are a number of cutouts available. The camera sensor and LED flash will be placed in the upper left corner of the phone’s back, and the device will also sport a rear-facing fingerprints scanner it seems. The 3.5mm headphone jack will be placed on the very top of the device (right side), and next to it you’ll find the noise canceling microphone, and what seems to be an infrared port as well.
A number of Xiaomi Max spec leaks surfaced in the last couple of weeks, and they all agree on one thing, the Xiaomi Max will be a huge device. The company itself confirmed that the display will be at least 6-inches big, and the rumors claim we’ll see a 6.44-inch panel on this smartphone. Now, according to rumors, the Xiaomi Max will be fueled by one of three SoCs, the Snapdragon 820, Snapdragon 650 or the company’s very own ‘Rifle’ processor which is rumored to arrive on May 10th as well. The Xiaomi Max will most probably be a mid-range handset, so the Snapdragon 650 is our best bet, not to mention the fact that this variant has already been benchmarked. The 4,500mAh battery has also been mentioned, and same goes for 2GB of RAM. Either way, we’ll just have to wait and see what Xiaomi has to say, though we’ll probably see more leaks / rumors before that happens, so stay tuned.
