Acer Showcases Liquid Zest Plus Smartphone At Computex 2016

Acer is a well-known China-based tech company, and chances are pretty much everyone heard of them by now. Acer is manufacturing all sorts of tech products, and they’re probably best known for their laptop devices. Anyhow, Acer also manufactures smartphones, and has announced a couple of them this year. Back in February, Acer has unveiled the Liquid Jade 2 smartphone which belongs in the upper mid-range class, and in April the company announced the arrival of the Liquid Zest Plus handset. Now, Acer did not exactly share all that much info regarding this handset back in April, aside from its partial specs, we did not even see the design of the device. Well, the time has come to get a proper look at the Liquid Zest Plus, read on.

Computex 2016 is currently ongoing in Taiwan, and Acer is one of the company’s participating at that trade event. The company has showcased a number of devices at Computex, including the Liquid Zest Plus smartphone. This is a 5.5-inch smartphone which comes with a 720p display. The device also packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage, while a 5,000mAh battery is also a part of this package and it is not removable. The 13-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of this phone, and sports an ultra-fast hybrid tri-focusing system, said Acer. PDAF is also utilized here, and so is the laser autofocus. The 5-megapixel shooter is available up front, and it takes 85-degree wide-angle selfies. This device also features the DTS-HD Premium Sound, which is supposed to provide deep bass and 3D audio, which essentially means you should be able to get great audio from this smartphone. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Acer Liquid Zest Plus, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Acer’s custom UI. We still do not know which SoC is utilized here, but according to some reports, Acer Liquid Zest Plus is going to ship with MediaTek’s MT6735 quad-core processor.

Now, as far as pricing and availability are concerned, the phone will come in Moroccan Blue and Andes White color options in North America in July, and it will be priced at $199. The device will become available in EMEA in July as well, and it will cost you €199 should you choose to buy it.
