ASUS ZenFone 3 Real Life Image Pops Up In The Wild

First ASUS’ ZenFone 2 devices were introduced back in January last year. One of the ZenFone 2 variants actually sported 4GB of RAM, and that phone was the first such smartphone available out in the market. Many people expected ASUS to introduce their new ZenFone 3 flagship(s) back in January, but that didn’t happen. The company will, however, announce their new ZenFone 3 lineup during Computex 2016 in Taipei which starts really soon. ASUS has already scheduled a press event for May 30th, and it seems like they’ll introduce three new ZenFone 3 handsets during the keynote, at least according to rumors.

Latest rumor said that the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe and ZenFone 3 Max will be announced on May 30th, and one of those devices popped up on AnTuTu quite recently. We’ll talk more about its specs after we take a look at the newly leaked image which popped up in China recently. If you take a look at the image above, you’ll get to see the alleged ZenFone 3 handset, though only its back side. This definitely resembles ASUS’ previous devices, and might as well be our upcoming smartphone. We still don’t know what exact ZenFone 3 variant this is, but we’ll find out in a couple of days. This image is quite blurry, but the phone seems to sport rear-facing volume keys, just like its predecessor, and the fingerprint scanner might be available on its back as well. This device is made out of metal, or at least it seems like it.

Anyhow, according to AnTuTu, the ZenFone 3 will sport a fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, though we still don’t know its size. The ZenFone 2 shipped with a 5.5-inch panel, so it is possible its successor will as well, though other variants of the phone might ship with a differently sized display, of course. The device will come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the 23-megapixel rear-facing camera has also been listed on AnTuTu. The 8-megapixel snapper will be available on the phone’s front side, and the device will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, and ASUS’ UI will be installed on top of it. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor will fuel this smartphone, along with the Adreno 530 GPU.

Now, in addition to the leaked real life image of the device, the source also shared some design sketches of all three upcoming ZenFone 3 devices, as you can see down below. The largest handset is the ZenFone 3 Max, while it seems like the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe will be different in size as well, it remains to be seen which one will be smaller. Either way, stay tuned, the press event is only 10 days away.
