Cautoh App Tracks Your Drinking Pattern & Blood Alcohol Level

Being able to measure how much you drink and which are your favourite flavours should definitely let you get an insight on how good a drinker you are. This is exactly what Cautoh lets you do. This free app for Android and iOS delivers an infographic of people’s drinking habits based on their gender, age and the state they live in. What’s more, you can also track your own drinking pattern and estimate your blood alcohol level on the app. This way, the app collates data belonging to a large number of individuals and creates a graph on the most popular drinks and which age group drinks the most!

As per the infographic put together by Cautoh, beer is the most popular drink in New York and Texas while those living in Florida enjoy Whisky more than rum but slightly lesser than beer. In California, one in every three people drink beer but more people love to sip on tequila than whisky. However, in Texas, both tequila and whisky are equally loved by men and women. Overall, those who are aged between 35 and 44 drink the most, while those in the age groups of 18 to 24 and 55-64 drink the least. Gender wise, because of the difference in body mass index, women get drunk more easily than men despite drinking less. On an individual level, the app helps drinkers hire an Uber, find restaurants in their area and call a friend in times of need or when they are drunk and can’t drive. The best part about the app is that it works with a separate Breath Analyzer developed by the Cautoh team. The analyser processes one’s breath using an “advanced semiconductor alcohol sensor” and makes suggestions on when users can drive based on their body alcohol content.

The Cautoh app has just over 10,000 users at present and its infographics are based on over 22,000 drinks reported by its users across states, genders and age groups. It is currently free but you’ll need to pay up for the additional Breath Analyzer if you need to use it and can order it on the app itself. On both iOS App Store and Google Play store, there are a large number of apps which let you track your drinking pattern, offer information on various alcoholic drinks that you want to give a try and there are also apps like The Barman and Smoothie Recipes which offer helpful advice on how to mix drinks. If you need more choices as far as breath analyzers are concerned, you can also go for a BACtrack Mobile Breathalyzer which costs $79 and lets you check you blood alcohol level with your smartphone. The app uses law-enforcement grade fuel cell sensor to deliver accurate reports and gives users suggestions on when they can drive next.
