Meizu might be one of the most interesting China-based smartphone manufacturing companies these days. This company has managed to grow quite a bit in the last couple of years, and they constantly release well-built, quality devices which are quite affordable at the same time. The Meizu M3; M3 Note and PRO 6 has been introduced last month, and it seems like new Meizu-branded devices might land in June, read on.
The mysterious metal-clad smartphone has been certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) a while back, and it seems like we’re looking at the Meizu M2 Metal or M3 Metal, depending on which rumor you take seriously. The latest piece of info claims this smartphone will be called the M3 Metal and launch on June 13th, but we’ll see. That being said, Meizu might introduce the PRO 6 Plus handset in June as well, at least according to the latest leak. If you take a look at the image above, you’ll get to see the allegedly official teaser which leaked, and which is not only showing off the Meizu PRO 6 Plus smartphone, but also the release date for this phone. According to this poster, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus will see the light of day on June 30th, and is expected to be fueled by the Exynos 8890 64-bit octa-core processor. Now, this doesn’t sound all that weird considering the fact the Meizu PRO 5 was fueled by the Exynos 7420, and the company CEO more or less confirmed that a Meizu-branded Exynos 8890 handset is on its way while he was responding to ZUK’s CEO recently. In addition to all this, it is worth mentioning that the Exynos 8890-powered Meizu handset has been spotted in China earlier this month, which is yet another proof we might see it launched soon.
That is pretty much it, for now. All we can do at this moment is wait for Meizu to officially announce their upcoming press events and announce new hardware. By the looks of it, we’ll get at least two new smartphones in June, maybe even more, who knows. The Exynos 8890-powered Meizu handset would certainly be an improvement over the Helio X25-powered one, simply because the Exynos 8890 is a somewhat more powerful SoC, but the Helio X25 can hold its own and is MediaTek’s current flagship. In Addition to the Exynos 8890, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus might also ship in a variant with 6GB of RAM, but those are only rumors for now, let’s wait and see what happens.
