Some of you might know that Meizu has already pushed out three new devices out to the market this year, the Meizu M3, M3 Note and PRO 6. All of these devices were announced in April, and we were wondering what will Meizu announce next. We know that the Meizu MX6 announcement is right around the corner, but it seems like the company might announce something else before that happens. The Meizu M1 Metal was introduced back in October last year, and judging by the latest info from China, it seems like the company might introduce its successor soon, read on.
The source claims that the device will be called Meizu M3 Metal, even though the company still didn’t announce the M2 Metal. It is possible Meizu will skip the M2 Metal naming in order to catch up to their ‘M Note’ line, so that they will have the M3, M3 Note and M3 Metal as part of their lineup for 2016. Judging by the provided info, the M3 Metal might be announced on June 13th, and in terms of the design, this device is expected to be identical to the Meizu M3, but it will sport a metallic body instead of the polycarbonate one. It is also rumored that regular Android (with Flyme on top) might ship on this variant of the device, instead of the YunOS variant which comes with the regular version of this phone.
Now, according to the certification info from TENAA (equivalent to the FCC) which surfaced earlier, this smartphone will sport a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, along with 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of internal storage. The device might be fueled by the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor, and a 3,000mAh battery is said to be included here as well. The 13-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of this device, and a 5-megapixel shooter will be located up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop will, allegedly, come pre-installed here, and Meizu’s Flyme OS will be available on top of it. Now, do keep in mind that the Meizu MX6 is expected to arrive on June 20th, at least according to rumors, so it is possible that Meizu intends to release two devices within one week.
