One of the big events that is due to take place this year is only a short time away. This is of course, Google’s I/O event which is due to take place in Mountain View this month. While there is nothing concrete on what Google will announce at the event, speculation is wild on what will be the focus and main announcements which emerge from the conference, with a number of indicators pointing to virtual reality as a likely candidate to be a very big topic this year. Of course, with only a couple of weeks to go until the event takes place, it won’t be long until all is known.
That said, typical of the weeks before the event, Google will be readying everything for when the event does take place. One part of that reading is the updating of its Google I/O app. Speaking of which, the app has now been updated to the most recent version and is now relevant to this year’s event. So if you do want to get your hands on the latest version of the Google I/O app, then you can by heading through the link below and over to the Google Play Store.
At the moment, there does not seem to be too much new in terms of what the app has to offer. It has been updated and is now reflective of Google I/O 2016, but at the superficial level, the app looks similar to how it did last year. Of course, if you are planning on attending the event this year, then this will likely be an app you want to download as it will be of use before and at the event. For those who can’t attend but want to take part in the action, the app will more than likely be of use too, as it will include the ability to watch the keynote and sessions live and also keep up to date with the entire schedule. As well as offering the option to set specific reminders on certain aspects of the conference. As a reminder, the event takes place May 18 through to May 20.
