Honor V8 Real Life Images Surface Prior To Release

Huawei has been one of the most active smartphone manufacturers this year. The company has introduced quite a few devices thus far, including the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus, their new flagship handsets. Huawei has also released two new tablets, and their Honor sub-brand has released some hardware as well, the Honor 5C is quite probably Honor’s most notable release this year. That being said, Honor will introduce a new high-end offering tomorrow, the Honor V8. The company has confirmed this fact a while back, and we did see a number of leaks when it comes to this smartphone, including its TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) certification, but we haven’t seen its real life image, until now.

If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll see the real life images of Honor V8’s back side. Now, we do know that this will be a huge device, and that is quite visible in the second image in the gallery down below. Looking at the provided images, you can see that the Honor V8 will sport two cameras on the back, just like the Huawei P9 / P9 Plus. We still don’t know if those will be the same Sony sensors and Leica lenses you can find in Huawei’s flagship devices, we’ll just have to wait and see. Next to the camera sensors, Huawei has included the dual-LED, dual tone flash, and the Laser Autofocus. The fingerprint scanner will also going to be placed on the back of this smartphone, and as you can see, the camera strip on the top of this device sports a different texture than the rest of the phone.

According to the previously leaked TENAA listing, the Huawei Honor V8 will sport a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, and two variants of the device have been certified. One variant will be fueled by the Kirin 950 64-bit octa-core SoC and will ship with 32GB of internal storage, while the other one will come with the Kirin 955 64-bit octa-core processor, and 64GB of native storage. Honor has included 4GB of RAM into this phone, and same goes for the 3,400mAh battery which will not be removable. The Honor V8 will be made out of metal, and it will sport fast charging. It seems like the company decided to include two 12-megapixel cameras on the back, while you’ll be able to find an 8-megapixel snapper up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this device, and the company’s Emotion UI (EMUI) skin will be available on top of it.
