Jide To Launch Remix OS-Powered All-In-One With AOC

Jide is most recently known for their versatile Remix OS 2.0, an alternative Android firmware that can now be installed on PCs through free downloadable software and by way of a bootable flash drive. Jide has also made Remix OS 2.0 available for the Nexus 9 and the Nexus 10. While they haven’t had any hardware since the Remix Mini that they launched last year, this morning at CES Asia 2016 they have just announced their partnership with AOC to create an All-In-One PC powered by Remix OS 2.0, slated for release this Summer. The AIO PC will be aimed at the Enterprise market and will be released in China first. There are no current plans to launch the AIO PC in other markets, but Jide states that they are listening to feedback to see if there would be a demand for the product in other regions around the globe.

The AIO PC will feature a 24-inch Full HD monitor that is 9.9mm thin, and will come in two different storage size models. There will be one with 16GB of internal storage and one with 64GB of internal storage, and both will come with the same amount of RAM at 2GB. Both will also come powered by the same processor, which is the Amlogic S905 quad-core CPU clocked at 2GHz. This is coupled with an ARM Mali-450 5-core GPU for the graphics processing. The monitor will also have four high-speed USB ports, an ethernet port, two HDMI ports, and audio in/out ports. The power and volume buttons along with a back key and a recents key will be located on the back.

Right now, Jide and AOC have not announced a price point for the AIO PC, but Jide does note that it will be an affordable product with a low price point and that they will be sharing pricing and exact availability information at a later date. With the AOC All-In-One PC powered by Remix OS, features like the multi-window and tab resizing will be able to take advantage of the larger display size for better efficiency which is part of what makes it a perfect Enterprise product. While this is a first of its kind partnership for AOC and Jide, AOC’s B2B General Manager Ren Jingshun states that they believe All-In-One PCs will help the nature of Android PCs go further within the Enterprise market. Although this is Jide’s first All-In-One with Remix OS onboard, it may not be the last, as Jide Co-Founder Jeremy Chau mentioned that interest from Enterprises is what had convinced them to enter into this partnership with AOC to create this particular product.
