LG Unveils X Power & X Style Mid-Range Devices In Ukraine

Having unveiled its flagship smartphone, the LG G5, back in February at the Mobile World Congress trade show, South Korean consumer electronics company, LG Electronics, has been on a mid-range smartphone launching spree. The company launched the LG Stylus 2 Plus in Taiwan just a few days ago, and now, two more mid-rangers from the company’s ‘X’ line have been unveiled in Ukraine. The LG X Power and the LG X Style both come with fairly humble tech-specs, but that does help keep the prices down, so the trade-off may seem fairly reasonable for many. While neither device comes with anything too exiting in terms of hardware components, the X Power does include a 4,100 mAh battery, which is where it derives its name from.

Taking a quick look at the rest of the tech specs of the two devices, the X Power comes with a 5.3-inch 720p IPS screen, and has the MediaTek MT6735 chipset under the hood. The SoC comes with an integrated quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at a maximum of 1.14 GHz, alongside a Mali-T720 GPU. The device also comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. As for the imaging options, the phone sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie-cam. The handset comes with a pretty large 4,100 mAh battery as mentioned already, and will apparently have a price-tag of 5,000 Ukrainian Hryvnia (about $200) when launched.

Along with the X Power, the other device launched by LG in Ukraine earlier today happens to be the X Style, which features a 5-inch 720p display panel, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 SoC. The device comes with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, but the battery happens to be a huge downgrade to a 2,100 mAh unit. The cameras on the device are also seemingly less impressive, certainly in terms of the megapixel count. While the rear-facing primary camera happens to be an 8-megapixel unit, the front-facing camera comes with a 5-megapixel sensor, which should be enough for video chats and basic selfies. The X Style is expected to be priced at Ukrainian Hryvnia 4,500 (about $180) in Ukraine, but there’s no word on whether LG intends to sell either of these two smartphones elsewhere.
