Moto G4 Plus To Get The Android O Update At Some Point?

Motorola has recently introduced some new hardware in the form of the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, the company’s newest affordable devices. After weeks of leaks and rumors, the company has finally introduced these two phones in India about a week ago. While Motorola was owned by Google, the company was really fast to update their devices to newer versions of Android, and as soon as Lenovo took over, consumers started to worry about future updates. Well, it seems Motorola wants to keep their newest devices up to date, at least according to a new leak, read on.

If you take a look at the image above, you’ll get to see what seems to be a leaked promotional poster or something of the sort. This poster shows off the Moto G4 Plus and claims that the device will be updated not only to Android N, but to Android O as well. Keep in mind this poster has not been officially released, at least not yet. A similar promo image has been posted on Amazon India’s official site where the device is already available for purchase, but it doesn’t mention Android O, only Android N. Take this info with a grain of salt considering we’re looking at a leaked image here, but if true, then these are great news for those of you who plan on purchasing the Moto G4 Plus. We assume that the Moto G4 will get the same updates as the Moto G4 Plus, so that’s also something you should keep in mind.

Anyhow, the Moto G4 Plus is slightly more powerful than the Moto G4, mainly because Motorola released a higher-end 3GB RAM model of the Moto G4 Plus, and included a more capable rear-facing camera in this phone. The device sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of expandable internal storage. The 16-megapixel PDAF camera is placed on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel shooter is available up front. The 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it is not removable. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here, and the device is fueled by the Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor.
