When it comes to smartphones that are expected to be released over the summer of 2016, many eyes will be watching to see what the latest from OnePlus can bring to the table. The so-far dubbed ‘OnePlus 3’ is a follow up to the previous two OnePlus flagship devices and will be looking to maintain its position as a powerful but affordable handset. In fact, early indications have already pointed that this might be a smartphone which is released in multiple variants including a 6GB option. Not to mention the OnePlus 3 is thought to be a smartphone which comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, a 16 and 8-megapixel camera combination, a 3,500 mAh battery and possibly making use of a “Dash Charge” feature. In terms of the display, there is some conflicting information suggesting either a 5-inch or 5.5-inch display will be in use. Although if the multiple variant rumors are true, then this would explain the two sizes quite neatly.
That said, more recently the rumors and leaks have revolved around the design of the latest OnePlus smartphone and especially since questionable leaked images appeared in the last few days touting a smartphone which was hidden from view by a rather strange looking case. However, the images were said to be of the OnePlus 3. Now, on the back of those images, it seems some additional images have made their way into the hands of Phone Arena. Images which are again said to be of the OnePlus 3.
Compared to the previous batch, there are some interesting observations to be noted. Firstly, one of the images does clearly seem to be of the same phone that appeared a couple of days ago as the number listed on the back seems to be the same, although the background to the image is different. More interestingly and in contrast to the last batch, at least two of these images do show the alleged phone booting up and sporting the OnePlus logo. Although, this is not in any way proof of it being a OnePlus device, it does add support to the notion that it very well could be the OnePlus 3.
