Nextbit Robin Is Now Official In India, Available Soon

Smartphones are all around us at this point, pretty much everyone owns one. In one hand, smartphones brought us closer together considering we’re constantly connected, on the other hand, they’ve influenced our social life in a negative way. Either way, it seems like they’re here to stay, at least based on the current situation. We see tons of smartphones released every year, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate at this point in time, though some companies still manage to do that. Nextbit Robin is a cloud-based smartphone which has been introduced last year, and aside from the way its software functions, the phone itself looks really interesting, different, which is mostly a good thing. The device has been available in the market for quite some time now, but it hasn’t been available in India, until now.

Nextbit has promised that the Nextbit Robin will land in India on May 25th, and that’s exactly what happened. The company has unveiled their cloud-based handset in the country, and it costs Rs. 19,999. The phone comes in Mint color only, and will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting from May 30th. Nextbit Robin is actually quite an interesting phone, when it’s plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi, it syncs your data with the cloud in order to free space on the device. There are all sorts of options available in the software which let you tweak this to your liking, and this is at the same time the main feature of this phone, though it’s not the only trick Nextbit Robin has up its sleeve.

Anyhow, this device sports a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it. The phone also packs in 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage (+100GB online storage). Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor fuels this smartphone, along with the Adreno 418 GPU. The 13-megapixel snapper is placed on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel shooter can be found on its front side. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Nextbit Robin, and a 2,680mAh battery is also a part of this package. Speaking of which, Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 tech is also included here, and the Nextbit Robin also sports a fingerprint scanner. The device measures 149 x 72 x 7mm, while it offers 4G LTE connectivity as well, of course.
