The OnePlus 3 is one of the most anticipated Android-powered smartphones this year. The device has been leaking out for weeks now, and the company’s representative accidentally revealed that the phone will be launched on June 14th. The company’s CEO has shared a sample image taken with the OnePlus 3 recently, and the device’s specs also leaked a couple of days ago. That being said, the OnePlus 3 has just been certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), which means we now know not only its specifications, but the design has been confirmed as well, read on.
If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the OnePlus in the flesh. It seems like previous leaks were spot on, the phone will be made out of metal, and its back side will resemble the HTC One M9 to an extent. The phone’s front side resembles the OnePlus 2, but also to a number of Meizu-branded devices. The phone’s rear-facing shooter will protrude a bit, and the physical mute switch will once again be included on one of OnePlus-branded devices, and it will be located on the left-hand side of this device, along with the volume rocker. The power / lock switch will be placed on the right side of the OnePlus 3. According to TENAA, this device will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display, along with 4GB of RAM (TENAA doesn’t mention the 6GB RAM variant, but it is possible that variant will be released as well) and 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. The 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of the device, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be available up front. The 3,000mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and it will not be removable.
TENAA also mentions that this handset will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, and you can also expect the company’s Oxygen OS to be available on top of Android (Hydrogen OS for the Chinese model). 4G LTE connectivity will also going to be available here, of course, and the device will measure 152.6 x 74.6 x 7.3mm, while it will weight 160 grams. TENAA also lists Light Gray, Black and Gold color options for the OnePlus 3. That is more or less it, TENAA has revealed pretty much everything in terms of specifications and design, all that remains now is for OnePlus to unveil this smartphone.
