Rumor: OnePlus 3 Will Be Equipped With 3,500 mAh Battery

With the latest handset from OnePlus, the OnePlus 3 expected to be unveiled soon enough, the number of leaks and rumor reports that are coming through are slowly intensifying. Over the last week alone, there has been quite the increase and when you piece together all the reports (and as long as their respective details are correct), then the OnePlus 3 on the spec front is starting to come together.

The latest of which is a report that has now come through from China. While the report looks to confirm a number of the specs (on the authority of another source), the majority of those specs have already been suggested before. However, the one aspect which does look to be new is that the OnePlus 3 will come sporting a 3,500 mAh capacity battery. In the grand scale of things, this is not vastly different from the battery capacity of the OnePlus 2, but when you factor in the recently rumored ‘Dash Charge’ that could be en route, the battery life on offer with the OnePlus 3 could be a very big selling point. In addition to the 3,500 mAh battery and as already mentioned, the report does name drop a few more specs including a 5.5-inch display (which makes use of a 1920 x 1080 resolution), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, multiple storage variants and two RAM variants, 4GB and 6GB. Which again as mentioned, are aspects which have been picked up on before, including the 6GB option. It is also worth pointing out that the report does specifically note that the OnePlus 3 will come running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) by way of the company’s own Hydrogen OS and therefore, is referring directly to the domestic China version of the handset. Although it stands to reason that the hardware aspects will be common to both this version and the international OxygenOS running version.

In terms of price, the report also picks up that the 4GB RAM version will likely be available for 1999 yuan (about $310) while the 6GB RAM version will cost 2499 yuan (about $385). Which again is in line with other rumors that have come through of late.
