Xiaomi Max is a device that has been mentioned quite frequently lately. The company’s upcoming phablet will be introduced on May 10th, confirmed the company. Xiaomi has also confirmed that the MIUI 8 OS will launch alongside their newest phablet, and some rumors even indicated that the Mi Band 2 fitness tracker might launch on said date as well. The company’s CEO said yesterday that the Mi Band 2 will not be launching alongside the company’s new phablet and OS due to production issues, its launch has been postponed for about 1 month or so.
That being said, we’ve seen quite a few Xiaomi Max leaks thus far, and even the company’s CEO decided to give us a peek at the upcoming device. The Xiaomi Max surfaced in a separate real life image as well, and now we have yet another interesting leak to share with you. If you take a look at the content down below, you’ll get to see what seems to be an animated .gif from a Chinese commercial for the Xiaomi Max, and the images taken from that video (the commercial itself can be found on the source site). The source seems to mention Xiao-Xiao Bian, the Chinese actress, though the translation is rough and we can’t confirm that’s her in the images, but it sure seems like it. Anyhow, the Xiaomi Max is a part of this commercial, and as you can see, it’s big, really big. Its side bezels seem to be quite thin, but considering this phablet will ship with a display bigger than 6 inches, it still looks quite big in the hand. The phone’s back will be curved, as you can see in one of the images down below.
According to the leaked info, the Xiaomi Max will ship with a 6.4-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, and will be available in both 2GB and 3GB RAM variants. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 64-bit octa-core SoC will almost certainly fuel this phablet, even though the Snapdragon 820 and Xiaomi’s very own ‘Rifle’ SoC have been mentioned in various rumors. The device is expected to sport three capacitive buttons below the display (menu, home and back), and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the Xiaomi Max, while the company’s MIUI 8 OS will be included on top of Google’s offering.
