Football, or as those of you who live in North America would call it, Soccer, is a very popular sport all over the world. Spanish national league and cup are quite popular competitions, and people all around the world are interested to see what’s happening in ‘La Liga’ and ‘Copa del Rey’, which are the official names of the Spanish league and cup competitions, respectively. That being said, Sevilla FC is one of the best teams in Spain, and ZTE is one of their sponsors this year (since February). Sevilla FC has managed to fight their way through to the final match of Copa del Rey (King’s Cup) where they will face FC Barcelona, the current Spanish champion. ZTE has announced today that the company will officially sponsor the final match of the competition, ZTE’s logo will appear on Sevilla FC’s official uniforms.

“Much like the mobile device industry, football’s devoted culture overflows with spirited competition and loyal fans, making ZTE Mobile Devices an ideal Copa del Rey sponsor. We wish both Sevilla FC and FC Barcelona a thrilling match driven by inspiring levels of teamwork, skills and sportsmanship,” said Jacky Zhang, CEO of EMEA and APAC, ZTE Mobile Devices. Speaking of Spain, it is worth mentioning that ZTE’s sales in Spain have increased 57% from December 2015 to March 2016, and the Sevilla FC sponsorship surely helped to an extent. That is more or less it, at least for now, we’re waiting to see what happens in the Copa del Rey final match which will be played on May 22nd, and chances are ZTE will unveil their new Nubia Z11 and Nubia Z11 Max devices by then, or at least before the end of May, though do keep in mind nothing has been confirmed just yet.
