ZTE Shares AXON 7 And ZTE VR Pricing & Availability Info

ZTE had some important news to share with us yesterday. The company has hosted a press conference in order to announce their new AXON-branded flagship, along with some additional hardware. ZTE has unveiled the premium AXON 7 smartphone, and in addition to that, they’ve also released the ZTE VR headset. We’ve talked at length about both of those devices, in case you’d like to read more. That being said, we did not have all the necessary pricing information at the time of AXON 7 and ZTE VR announcement, but we do now, read on.

The AXON 7’s pricing will start at 2,899 Yuan ($442) in China, this will be the price for the ‘Basic edition’ of the device, while the higher-end model will be somewhat more expensive. Now, as far as the U.S. and Europe pricing goes, the AXON 7 will be available starting at $499 and €409 in the U.S. and Europe, respectively. The phone is already available for pre-order in China through Jingdong Mall (JD.com), and starting June 2nd, the device will be available for purchase online and in retail stores in China. The company still didn’t share all the necessary info regarding international availability of this smartphone, so we don’t really know when exactly will it go on sale in the U.S. and Europe, but at least we know how much will it cost. Now, as far as the ZTE VR is concerned, that device costs 518 Yuan ($79) in China, but we don’t know how much will it cost outside of ZTE’s homeland, nor when exactly will it go on sale.

The ZTE AXON 7 is made out of metal, and it sports a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display up front. The phone comes in both 4GB and 6GB of RAM with either 64GB of 128GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC fuels this smartphone, and a 3,250mAh battery is also included here and it is not removable. The 20-megapixel camera is placed on the back of the AXON 7, while you’ll find an 8-megapixel snapper up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this device with ZTE’s MiFavor 4.0 UI on top of it. It is also worth mentioning that the most expensive variant of this device (6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage) comes with the Force Touch display.
