'Bezel-Less' Nubia Z11 Is Now Official, 6GB Of RAM Included

Nubia has finally announced their ‘bezel-less’ Nubia Z11 flagship. The phone has been the subject of numerous leaks leading up to today’s big reveal, including a spec reveal courtesy of the AnTuTu benchmarking app, as well as a quick teaser by Nubia themselves yesterday. The official reveal today not only confirms a number of rumored and leaked details about the middle child of the Nubia Z11 family (as far as size is concerned), consisting of this phone, the Max and the Mini, but actually introduces a couple of brand new details.

For starters, the “NeoPower” battery has been confirmed to be a 3,000mAh unit, but supposedly is possessed of high-density technology that will give power users a full day and then some of heavy use, along with super fast charging. For a while, the rumor mill was unable to decide if the phone would have 4GB of RAM, a 1920 x 1080 screen and 64GB of internal space, or 6GB of RAM, 128GB of space and a beautiful 2560 x 1440 resolution. The answer, of course, is both. While both models of the phone will share a chassis, Nubia UI software based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and that sweet Snapdragon 820 processor, one variant will have a more battery-friendly screen and a bit less RAM and storage, while the other will make itself ideal for gaming, media and VR at the cost of performance and battery life. The screen size on both variants will be 5.5 inches. Both models will share a MicroSD slot and a camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 sensor on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.

The two different models have yet to have their release dates announced, but pricing has been outed; the more frugal model, still able to go toe to toe with most modern flagship phones, will set you back roughly $376, and the higher-end version will cost a cool $526, landing them both in the bang-for-buck flagship category and giving would-be Galaxy and Xperia buyers a little bit of food for thought. On paper, the Nubia Z11 sounds absolutely incredible, especially at those price points, but nobody will know for sure until the reviews come out.
