First Xiaomi Mi Drone Video Sample Pops Up Online

Xiaomi has introduced a bunch of new devices this year. The company has rolled out a number of smartphones, and in addition to that, they’ve also introduced their Mi Band 2 fitness tracker, and the first-ever drone. Xiaomi has announced the Mi Drone at the end of last month, and many of you have probably been wondering if it’s any good. Well, the alleged Mi Drone footage surfaced online, and you can check it out if you’d like read on.

If you take a look at the embedded video down below, you’ll get to see some footage taken with the Mi Drone. Keep in mind that this is unofficial material, and Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed that this video has been taken using the Mi Drone. Having that in mind, the footage looks really good, even though it has been trimmed down to 720p before someone opted to upload it online. As a reminder, Xiaomi has introduced two variants of the Mi Drone, the 1080p and 4K variants. The more affordable model costs 2,499 Yuan ($381) in China, while the higher-end variant comes around at 2,999 Yuan ($457). The camera on the Mi Drone is attached to a high sensitive three-axis gimbal, and that should help with stabilization. Based on the video down below, this device actually stabilizes video footage really well, this gimbal can stabilize up to 2,000 vibrations per second, said the company.

The Mi Drone has a built-in automatic take-off, landing and return modes, and it comes with a remote control which you can pair with your smartphone, of course. The drone itself has a built-in GPS and GLONASS, and it comes with the real-time location tracking as well. The 15.2V battery is also a part of this package, and it has a capacity of 5,100mAh. This battery should allow you to fly the Mi Drone for about 27 minutes on a single battery charge, at least according to Xiaomi. The 16-megapixel camera comes with the 1080p model of this drone, and a 12-megapixel snapper can be found on the 4K variant, and it can also shoot still images in RAW format, if that’s something you need.
