BBK is a company we’ve mentioned a couple of times lately. This is a China-based company which basically owns OPPO, Vivo and OnePlus, and they’ve hit the news because they’ve decided to open a completely new company called Imoo. Imoo had released the first Imoo smartphone teaser the other day, and the teaser revealed that the phone will be made out of metal, and that it will sport a physical ‘record’ button on its left side. A couple of Imoo smartphone renders leaked yesterday showing off some sort of a language learning app running on the phone, and now more info regarding this smartphone surfaced, read on.
Today’s Imoo leak actually reveals quite a bit of details compared to the ones we’ve seen in the last couple of days. The Imoo M1000 smartphone actually appeared on AnTuTu quite recently. According to the listing, this smartphone will sport a fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone will be fueled by MediaTek’s MT6755 (Helio P10) 64-bit octa-core processor, along with the Mali-T860 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of this smartphone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this device, and on top of it you’ll get Imoo’s custom UI.
Now, this smartphone is actually classified as an ‘educational smartphone’, and according to the latest report, the phone will ship with a number of educational apps on top of Android OS. The phone’s back side is shown off in one of the provided images, and as you can see, there’s some sort of a sensor placed in between the main camera and flash. Well, the phone reportedly does not offer a fingerprint scanner, so this could be some sort of a scanner. If the source is right, this smartphone will be able to solve mathematical equations just by scanning them, and if the report is accurate, this device will be sold only in China, though that was to be expected.
