Motorola had introduced a number of Moto-branded devices in the last month or so. The company first unveiled the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus devices, and the Moto Z and Moto Z Force arrived later on. The Moto G4 and G4 Plus were introduced last month in India, and the latter one went on sale that very same day in the country, but that was not the case with the Moto G4. The company did confirm that the Moto G4 will go on sale this month, but they did not reveal a specific date at that time. Well, that has changed, read on.
Motorola India went official and revealed that the Moto G4 will become available on June 22nd, and that it will be available exclusively from Amazon India. This smartphone will come in Black and White color options, just like the Moto G4 Plus, and as already mentioned, it will be exclusive to Amazon India (at least initially), just like its sibling. We still do not know how much will the Moto G4 cost in India, but you can expect it to be more affordable than the Moto G4 Plus, which means it could cost around Rs. 10,499 ($156) or Rs. 11,499 ($171) perhaps, considering the Moto G4 Plus is priced at Rs. 13,499 ($200).
The Motorola Moto G4 features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. This device is fueled by the Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor, and it comes with a 3,000mAh battery on the inside, which offers support for Turbo Charging. The 13-megapixel camera is placed on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here, and it comes with some of Motorola’s UI tweaks. There are two SIM card slots included here as well, and 4G LTE connectivity is also a part of the package. The device measures 153 x 76.6 x 7.9mm, while it weighs 157 grams.
That is more or less it, the Moto G4’s release in India is near. If you’d like to check out Moto India’s teasers, both of them are embedded below this article. We’ll let you know as soon as Motorola makes this handset available through Amazon, stay tuned.
