The Nubia Z9, Z9 Mini and Z9 Max were introduced in China in May last year. These three devices were quite popular in the country, especially the Nubia Z9 ‘bezel-less’ flagship. That being said, Nubia has already introduced the Nubia Z11 Mini and Z11 Max this year, and we’re waiting for the company to release the final piece of the puzzle, the Nubia Z11. This smartphone will be announced on June 28th according to the company’s latest teaser image, and thanks to TENAA’s listing we know both the specs and the design of this smartphone.
Now, if we take a quick look at Nubia Z11’s specs, at least according to TENAA, that handset will not ship with a high-end processor. TENAA’s listing from last month revealed that the Nubia Z11 will ship with the Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core SoC, which means that the Nubia Z11 might not be Nubia’s flagship for this year. We did see some indication that the Nubia might be getting ready to release a Snapdragon 820-powered device as well, but we still don’t know what will it be named. Well, a new unknown Nubia-branded smartphone has surfaced in China, and it actually comes with the dual-camera setup on the back. There are two images in the gallery down below for you to check out, and as you can see, this smartphone also comes with no side bezels, and its display is slightly curved. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of this phone, and Nubia’s well-known circular capacitive home button is also present here.
We don’t know much about this device, but if this image is to be believed, it will be quite similar to the Nubia Z9 and the upcoming Nubia Z11. The source claims this device will come with the Snapdragon 820 SoC and 6GB of RAM, which means this might be Nubia’s flagship for this year. We have no idea what will Nubia opt to call this phone, but it is possible this is yet another Nubia Z11 variant, at least judging by its design. This handset will quite probably launch in the coming weeks, and if new info becomes available, we’ll make sure to share it with you.
