The company has already introduced two Redmi 3 smartphones this year, the original Redmi 3 was announced back in January, while the Redmi 3 Pro landed in March. Well, it seems like three new Redmi 3 variants might launch in the near future, at least according to TENAA’s (China’s equivalent to the FCC) certification. These three variants of the Redmi 3 will ship with 16GB / 32GB of internal storage, and their specs are quite similar to the one you can find in the original Redmi 3 handset. Now, these devices might be known as the Redmi 3A and Redmi 3S, at least some of them. That being said, let’s take a look at their specs, shall we. The upcoming Redmi 3 devices will sport 5-inch displays, and will come in both 720p (1280 x 720) and 1080p (1920 x 1080) flavors. These phones will be fueled by the Snapdragon 415 64-bit octa-core processor, along with the Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. You can also expect to see 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM built in these phones, and same can be said for 16GB / 32GB of expandable internal storage. The 13-megapixel camera will be placed on the back of the new Redmi 3 devices, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be available up front. Xiaomi’s MIUI OS will come pre-installed on top of Google’s Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. The 4,000mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and so will 4G LTE connectivity. The Redmi 3A / Redmi 3S smartphones will measure 139.42 x 69.66 x 8.47mm.
It is also worth mentioning that these two devices will be made out of metal, and that they will feature a fingerprint scanner on the back. The menu, home and back capacitive keys will be placed below the display, and the loudspeaker is located on their back. That’s pretty much it, all we can do at this point is wait for Xiaomi to unveil these phones, so stay tuned for that.
